Duties and Responsibilities :
Greet each guest by introducing yourself, shaking their hand, upselling beverages, and making suggestions to fit each guest's desiresTake beverage orders from guests and serversPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurants standard drink recipesLearn the names and personally recognize our regularsRecord drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the micros systemAccept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make changes (if applicable)Wash and sterilize glasswarePrepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks, appetizers for bar patronsMaintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to supports efficient drink preparation and promotion of beveragesClear and reset tables in the bar areaPresent drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beveragesMaintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, floors, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areasReceive and serve food orders to guests seated at the barReport all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant managerAssist in the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and suppliesBe available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisorBe the Floor Generals, they take the lead in FOH making sure all guests have the best Big Whiskeys experience!Qualifications :
Be 21 years of ageHave a minimum of 2 years of bartending experienceBe able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guestsHave a working knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor, and common drink recipesPossess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash registerBe able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
