Editor in Chief Job at LHH in Washington

Overview LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an Editor in Chief with 10 or more years of experience for a non-profit organization that is hybrid in Washington DC; 2 days onsite every other week. This is a great role that offers the opportunity to work with a results-oriented and dedicated team.

Responsibilities Lead the strategic digital transformation of the client's publication expanding and strengthening the magazine’s digital presence.

Formulate and implement a cohesive content strategy that synchronizes the magazine with other client platforms and products to enhance reach and engagement.

Lead innovation in digital storytelling by leveraging multimedia content, interactive experiences, and data-driven insights to boost audience engagement.

Perform monthly production tasks associated with the printing and distribution of the magazine in both physical and digital formats.

Assign writing tasks to staff and freelancers, including articles, reports, reviews, and other editorial content.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, or Physical Sciences.

5+ years supervisory experience.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and WordPress, as well as previous experience with other relevant software packages.

Demonstrated ability to manage staff and freelancer relationships.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines for multiple projects.

Familiarity with digital publishing trends, audience engagement strategies, and analytics tools.

Experience 10+ years experience being responsible for publications with exposure to technical and scientific content.

Employment Type Contract to Hire

Compensation $57.75-$86.75 / hr
