Position Overview

The Free Press is looking for a Social-First Video Editor to help us bring our journalism to millions more people online. This person will play a key role in growing our presence on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts by creating must-watch, viral content.

What You’ll Do

• Edit short-form, social-first videos from our podcasts, YouTube shows, and reported articles.
• Edit compelling viral clips featuring our reporters and stories.
• Experiment with new formats and trends to increase engagement, reach, and followers.
• Work closely with the Head of Social Media to execute and expand our social video strategy.
