Electrical Estimator / Project Manager
Skills / Experience Required :
The applicant shall demonstrate on their resume and / or during an oral interview, detailed support for the following capabilities :
- Ability to work 40 hours Monday through Friday (Part time will be considered).
- Experience in the electrical field. The more experience, the better, including on-the-job, union, or academic training.
- Understanding of local electrical codes for residential, commercial, and industrial installations.
- Strong analytical and math skills.
- Ability to discuss electrical estimating procedures, methods, and skills in detail.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications such as Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Estimating Software, along with organizational skills, self-motivation, and excellent customer service examples.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
- Understanding of various electrical materials and their uses.
- Willingness and ability to integrate into an established estimating team.
Job Duties include but are not limited to :
Estimating :
Identifying electrical projects for bidding.Estimating costs for materials, labor, subcontractors, and special systems, including additional costs for bids.Preparing subcontract bids for general contractors or prime bids for owners.Building relationships with owners, general contractors, and vendors.Developing strategies for competitive bidding with the estimating team.Project Management :
Managing electrical equipment and materials submittal processes.Coordinating with job scheduling and time management tools.Procurement of equipment and materials within the estimated budget.Coordinating manpower and material deliveries to align with project timelines.Overseeing field electricians and managing site activities.Maintaining organized job files and documentation.Ensuring effective communication among all project stakeholders.Compensation and Benefits :
