Automotive Mechanic

Job Purpose : Urban Auto Repairs is seeking a skilled Auto Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in diagnosing vehicle issues and performing a wide range of repairs and maintenance to ensure customer vehicles are safe and reliable. Duties & Responsibilities : Diagnose vehicle problems using proper tools and techniques. Perform preventive maintenance, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations / changes, wheel balancing, and filter replacements. Repair and maintain major systems such as engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and electrical systems. Conduct inspections, test drives, and adjustments to verify repairs. Address customer concerns by accurately identifying and repairing mechanical issues. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used. Ensure compliance with safety standards and shop procedures. Support shop operations by assisting with related tasks as needed. Skills & Qualifications : Proven experience as an auto mechanic or technician Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostic tools and repair procedures Ability to work on engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and electrical systems Bilingual (English / Spanish preferred) to better serve our diverse customer base Dependability, problem-solving, and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver’s license
