Senior Director of Field Operations — Structural Steel Division Location :

  • Apopka, FL | Reports to : COO Compensation : $90,000–$115,000 annually (DOE) Lead the Future of Steel Installation in Florida.
  • Pioneer Welding & Fabrication is seeking an experienced, results-driven Senior Director of Field Installation to scale and strengthen our field operations.
  • This senior leadership position is pivotal to our next stage of growth — requiring a proven leader from the steel industry with deep knowledge of field execution, operational systems, and safety culture.
  • Core Responsibilities Build and execute a growth plan that scales our field installation capacity while improving safety, quality, and profit margins.
  • Lead and mentor Field Managers, Foremen, and crews to deliver on safety, schedule, and performance goals.
  • Develop and implement standardized processes, quality benchmarks, and KPIs to drive efficiency across all projects.
  • Manage full divisional P&L, including forecasting, utilization, and material performance.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align field execution with company strategy, project bids, and business development initiatives.
  • Champion a zero-incident safety program that exceeds regulatory requirements and sets the standard for industry best practices.
  • Required Qualifications 20+ years in structural steel erection or field installation, with 10+ years in senior leadership (Director, VP, or General Superintendent level).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with proven success leading multilingual field teams.
  • Demonstrated success scaling field operations or launching new divisions within the construction / fabrication sector.
  • Expert-level understanding of rigging, crane operations, and AISC standards.
  • Strong business and financial acumen; prior P&L ownership required.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to project sites.
