Position Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our CLT and Glulam manufacturing equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mill's electrical systems through routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical work, a keen eye for safety, and a collaborative spirit. With a focus on excellence and innovation, this position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success and growth of our operations in the timber industry.

This position is located at our facility in Conway, AR.

Responsibilities

• Working safely while upholding Mercer Mass Timber’s safety standards.
• Troubleshooting to prevent or correct irregularities and malfunctions.
• Adhering to and executing prescribed maintenance schedules in a safe and effective manner.
• Performing routine electrical / electronic preventative maintenance on mill equipment.
• Repairing, modifying and maintaining a variety of electrical equipment.
• Performing tasks like wiring circuits, replacing components, and repairing electronic devices.
• Performing test readings using several different instruments, including but not limited to multi-meter and megger.
• Remaining current in technical changes or equipment designs by attending industry training sessions or classes.
