As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Tech / Media in Norristown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding promptly to any concerns. Pay Rate : $26.57 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Friday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sunday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Monitor the site for any suspicious behavior and report security-related incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.

Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed, maintaining clear communication during incidents.

Maintain awareness of site-specific protocols and technology systems relevant to a technology and telecommunications environment.

Document observations and incidents in detailed reports following Allied Universal standards.

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Act 235 Qualification is required for positions located in Pennsylvania.

Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Must have access control or badge experience.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
