MBSE Architect

Overview

Cimarron is seeking an MBSE Architect to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at either Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area or at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Enterprise IT and Mission Operations Technology solutions, providing creative approaches to complex technical problems.
• Create and manage digital representations of complex systems using SysML to support design, analysis, and decision-making.
• Lead the adoption and implementation of MBSE practices across projects, ensuring effective integration into engineering tasks.
• Decompose cybersecurity system requirements into functional and logical architecture and allocate them to physical implementation.
• Develop and maintain accurate, standards-compliant system models and ensure requirements traceability within architecture models.
• Support milestone reviews such as SRR, SDR, PDR, and CDR with system architecture models.
• Apply state machine modeling and analysis to demonstrate dynamic system behavior and assess design decisions.
• Integrate MBSE with other digital engineering activities, including configuration management and simulation.
• Review and translate customer reference architecture models into internal architecture models.
• Continuously improve MBSE training, processes, and tools, and mentor engineers in MBSE practices.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and foster strong customer relationships.
