The primary purpose of this position is to join the world's leader in synthetic turf manufacturing, facility design, and construction. The candidate will have an opportunity to work under the guidance of registered engineers and learn the process of athletic facility design, utilizing AutoCAD civil 3D to assist with production, sorting permit requests for agencies, and performing storm water calculations and reports utilizing HydroCAD and / or Hydraflow Hydrograph. Work will be for all levels of athletic facility design and construction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Under limited supervision and much decision-making :
- Prepare civil design / construction plans, including notes and details, plan and profile sheets, and x-sections.
- Perform water / sewer / stormwater design calculations and reporting as necessary for development project.
- Prepare technical reports, memos, and exhibits.
- Search, investigate, and select technical reference data pertinent to a project.
- Prepare necessary calculations and reports required by the Local Regulatory Authorities.
- Create, submit, and monitor project permitting packages.
- Communicate and collaborate with the Project Team during all aspects of the project.
- Coordinate preparation of construction estimates with the Regional Director of Estimation.
- Maintain technical coordination with sales and design staff.
- Maintain positive communication with project managers, staff, clients, and subcontractors.
- Enforce company safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and quality standards.
- Work with customers, installation crews, sub-contractors, and Sales to resolve operational and technical issues and challenges.
- Review and approve sub-contractor invoices, assist Project Manager in billing design and engineering subcontractor invoices and change orders.
- Ensure proper project closeout; Certificate of Completion / Substantial Completion, As-Builts, and project checklist completed.
- Provide subject matter expert support to Sales / Customer in order to ensure award of potential contracts.

Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and / or Human Resources.Assist in the accomplishment of Company goals.Help other employees to accomplish Company goals.Perform other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor.Participate in the Disaster Recovery plan as required.Self-disciplined and self-motivated.Maintain multi-tasking skills to prioritize ever-changing needs, demands, crisis management :Customer ServiceCustomer DemandsConstruction RFI processingConstruction ConflictsInstallation Techniques and ProcessesAttend sales meetings with Regional Sales Managers to outline minimum civil details and design recommendations.Visit regional aggregate quarries, verify material compliance.Visit with regional civil partners and subcontractors.Attend and participate in Weekly Regional Conference call (WIP Calls).Assist in the Design & Sales Process : Organize and assemble scope for new design projects with sales, customers, and local contractors.Bid & Estimating Process : Read and assemble the specifications to ensure proper budget allocation for close out material and expectations to properly close out the project.Execution Process : Track projects and communicate daily with Project Team, Customers, and Sales to ensure documents are assembled ahead of time prior to close out for a quick process.Completion Process : Ensure all projects are closed out in a timely fashion at or under budget with customers fully engaged with completion and punchlist complete.What We Offer
