Business Development and Account Management Executive

Position Overview : This position is responsible for engaging with new prospects and existing customers to build and maintain strong relationships, while driving account growth through a blend of business development and account management activities. The role focuses on opening doors with key contacts, managing ongoing client relationships, and identifying opportunities for repeat business, upselling, and cross-selling. The Account Manager will act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring satisfaction and proactively addressing any needs or challenges.
This is a field-based sales position that entails regular travel to our Somerset, NJ office.
Key Responsibilities :
Business Development :
- Assess the territory / market potential and develop sales strategy to maximize revenue potential.
- Establish contacts with customers in the region and connect with new potential customers.
- Achieve and exceed agreed upon targets and outcomes within quarterly schedule, whilst owning the entire sales qualification and introduction cycle.
- Initiate and nurture relationships across key C-Suite, Managing Director and business line-level leaders to influence buying decisions.
- Partner with Account Management / Distribution group to ensure customer receives maximum value and expedites customer issues as they arise.
- Maintain an update account and opportunity data within company systems
Account Management :
Client Relationship Owner : Act as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong, ongoing relationships.Actively pursue follow-up sales opportunities to secure repeat business from existing clients.Identify and leverage opportunities to expand services with clients, providing added value through upselling and cross-selling.Managing customer escalations effectively to maintain positive relationships.Continuously assess client needs to uncover potential business opportunities and recommend solutions that add value.Ensure timely and accurate responses to pricing inquiries from channel partners to support their sales efforts.Manage closing of orders under 5,000 cards.Engage with customers who have previously ordered in order to secure repeat business.Regularly evaluate inventory levels and work with personalization partners in order to assess client reorder needs and opportunities.Develop and maintain strong relationships with perso partnersConduct monthly reviews and participate in QBRs to align on client goals and performance metrics.Prepare and manage quotes for channel partner deals under 10,000 cards to support business growth.Oversee contract management, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.Create and manage statements of work (SOW) with new and existing customers.Qualifications :
A minimum of 2 years (or more) of experience selling within the payment / fintech / issuance / security sector.College degree preferredAbility to communicate new and complicated concepts in an easy-to-understand way that creates level of desire for the solution.Consultative sales experience, a collaborative leadership style, and experience working cross-functionally to drive the sales process.Confidence while working in a hyper-growth stage company where the product and sales processes are constantly evolving.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, advanced spoken and written English proficiency.Excellent problem-solving skillsHigh level of computer literacy including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Outlook.At CompoSecure, we believe in supporting our employees with a comprehensive benefits package that promotes health, financial well-being, and work-life balance.
