The ideal candidate for the Teacher substitute position enjoys working with students and has a passion for teaching. The primary responsibilities of this position are to serve as the classroom teacher implementing lesson plans, managing student behavior, and supervising students to maintain a safe and orderly environment. Substitutes are expected to be punctual, and professional in appearance. Candidates must always act following the school’s guidelines and procedures. Position schedules will be based on the school’s standard schedule. Candidates must be able to work on an on-call basis.

Duties :

• Implementing lesson plans
• Assigning classwork and homework
• Maintaining classroom control and discipline
• Creating daily reports for the classroom teacher
• Taking attendance following school procedures
• Setting up basic technology equipment to support classroom instructions
• Able to work on an on-call basis
• Prior related experience working with children
• The ability to lift heavy objects up to 40 lbs.
• Performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned Requirements
