Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a CO or compact license, Level 1 or 2 trauma experience, and Epic EMR proficiency.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a large, 41-room Operating Room at a Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Day shifts (3x12 hours : 6 : 45-19 : 15), with all days of the week required and some variable start times
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 1 in the OR setting
  • Caseload includes general, GU / GYN, neuro, ENT, and plastic surgery cases
  • Weekend and on-call shifts are required, with approximately 6 on-call shifts per 8-week period
  • Floating to related OR shifts as needed
  • Uses Epic EMR; previous Epic experience is required
  • No blocked scheduling requests are permitted
  • A maximum of 10 days of time off is allowed during the contract with blackout periods for holidays and designated dates
  • Candidates living less than 75 miles from the facility are considered local
  • Orientation modules are completed pre-start and are included in onboarding time
  • Team structure involves working with a multidisciplinary surgical staff
  • Scrub attire requirements will be provided during orientation

  • Active CO or compact state RN license
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 3 years of OR nursing experience required
  • Previous experience at a Level 1 or 2 trauma center is mandatory
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Only experienced travelers accepted; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • Candidates with recent employment at the client health system (past two years) are ineligible
