RESPONSIBILITIES : Must be able to perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses to research new products, improve processes, or test materials. Must use techniques like chromatography and spectroscopy to determine the composition, structure, and properties of organic and inorganic compounds Must create new products, formulas, or analytical methods, and establish standards for products and processes. Must test materials and products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, while also adhering to all lab safety protocols. Must be able to set up, calibrate, operate, and perform maintenance on a variety of laboratory equipment and instruments Must keep detailed and accurate records of experiments, observations, and results in lab notebooks Must compile and analyze data, interpret findings, and prepare technical reports and papers for colleagues and management QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s degree in science or related field 2+ years of experience as chemist in pharmaceutical environment. Must have proficiency in laboratory techniques, data analysis, and scientific software is essential.
