Congressional Liaison
The Congressional Liaison serves as a vital member of MBN's team, working closely with and assisting the President / CEO and COO on all matters relating to Congressional outreach. The incumbent is responsible for representing MBN on matters of interest to Congress, responding to Congressional inquiries, and supporting the agency's legislative agenda. The role includes coordinating outreach activities and fostering relationships with Members of Congress, key committees, and other stakeholders.

Outreach and Advocacy :
- Conduct outreach to Congress in coordination with the President / CEO and COO.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key Congressional offices and committees.
- Organize meetings and events to engage legislative representatives on MBN programs and initiatives.
Legislative Analysis and Reporting :
Research and analyze current and proposed legislation impacting MBN's priorities.Monitor Congressional hearings, prepare draft summaries, and provide detailed reports to senior leadership.Develop briefing materials, fact sheets, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.Collaboration and Representation :
Partner with internal teams, including Public Affairs, to engage with think tanks, advocacy groups, and diaspora organizations.Represent MBN at meetings with Congressional staff, think tanks, and public policy organizations.Support the COO in preparing for President / CEO meetings with Members of Congress.Correspondence and Inquiry Management :
Serve as the primary point of contact for all Congressional inquiries.Draft and coordinate responses to written inquiries, constituent requests, and other correspondence.Other Duties :
Perform additional job-related duties and take on new responsibilities as needed based on organizational requirements and circumstances.
Qualifications and Requirements :
Candidates are required to have :
Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, communications, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.At least 5 years of experience in Congressional relations, legislative affairs, or government affairs in both the House and the Senate.Extensive contacts and relationships with Hill staffers in both the House and the Senate.In-depth understanding of the legislative process, including appropriations, Congressional committees, and procedures.Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret legislative proposals and prepare detailed reports.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create high-quality presentations and briefing materials.Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including Members of Congress and advocacy groups.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.Arabic language skills are desirable but not required.Physical Demands :
