To perform routine and specialized examinations in the specialty area of CT and diagnostic radiology, adapt procedures to obtain specific diagnostic and / or therapeutic results; prepare patients for examinations. This requires independent judgment to adapt procedures to obtain specific diagnostic results under the direction of a radiologist.

Qualifications

Certifications : Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA); Registered in Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA), Education : Certificate of Completion : Radiologic Technology; Associate's Degree : Radiologic Technology, Work Experience : Related field

Responsibilities

Clinical Excellence

• Performs procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination within the guidelines, policies, procedures and standards of Medical Imaging to assigned patients of all ages.

Exhibits competency in performing and filming CT and radiographic procedures

Quality Improvement

Technically knowledgeable of CT and diagnostic equipment operation

Departmental Support

Shares knowledge, guides and encourages fellow technologists / students with proper department protocol and procedures

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $31.03per hour - $53.37per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
