Description :

The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery.

The role requires a minimum of two years of experience in a similar setting.

The nurse will be working in an LDRP unit with both labor and postpartum patients.

Common conditions treated include patients who are greater than 35 weeks in labor.

The nurse will work 12-hour shifts, rotating between day and night schedules.

Weekend commitments will be every third weekend, and holidays may be required based on availability.

Patients will be monitored using an electronic fetal monitoring system.

The nurse is expected to titrate drips as needed, including medications for both antepartum / labor and postpartum care.

Teamwork, effective communication, and independence are critical attributes for success in this role.

Staffing may include a charge nurse on each shift who may also take on patient assignments.

The facility has limited services and is located in a rural setting.

Nurses may be required to float to different areas as needed.

Scrubs will be provided for the duration of the contract.

Candidates must comply with the radius rule regarding employment with affiliated facilities.

RTO must be submitted upfront, with limitations on additional time off requests.

The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to four shifts during the assignment period.

Please note that facial hair must be removed if it interferes with necessary fit testing procedures.

Candidates should possess strong independence, teamwork skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
