Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc., established in 1994, is headquartered in Bridgeville, PA, with plants in North Jackson, OH, Dunkirk, NY, and Titusville, PA. Universal Stainless produces semi-finished and finished specialty steel long products and plate including stainless steel, tool steel, bearing steel, gear steel and aircraft quality low alloy steels for use in a variety of industries, some you may know : Boeing, Ford, Chrysler, CAT, Toshiba, and GE Energy to name a few. Basic Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance to department personnel as needed.
  • Move and transport material as necessary.
  • Weigh and position product.
  • Operate mobile equipment and cranes.
  • Work in a safe and productive manner.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Preferred Skills

  • Fork truck experience
  • Experience in hand and power tools.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
  • Steel experience is highly desired.

    • Education

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

    • Physical and Other Requirements

  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours as required and maintain job performance standards
  • Ability to safely move around in a heavy industrial plant environment : Ascending or Descending steps within the plant.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
