WXIA-TV (11Alive), the TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate in Atlanta , is looking for an innovative, experienced television producer to develop newscasts for 11Alive+ , the station’s streaming platform.

At 11Alive , we create engaging, educational, and informative shows that focus on solutions. Streaming is a strategic priority as we evolve to meet the needs of audiences seeking timely information on breaking news, weather, and traffic.

This role requires the skills of a traditional linear broadcast producer , as these shows will resemble traditional broadcasts, exclusively for customers with connected televisions and apps. We value a collaborative and motivated journalist who works well within a team to bring the truth to our growing audience across various platforms, starting with our streaming and broadcast services.

Experience in the control room, integrating multiple live images, and a proven track record of producing high-quality screens will make your application stand out.

Responsibilities

• Use your natural curiosity to pitch compelling stories and expert interviews.
• Inspire and motivate colleagues while leading by example.
• Push our shows to be filled with context and stand out from the competition.
• Show off your creativity and storytelling skills.
• Create stories of various lengths across multiple platforms for targeted audiences.
• Meet daily deadlines.
• Combine live pictures, graphics, compelling video, and emotional sound to create an engaging experience.
• Booth continuous coverage on our live streams for breaking news and community events.
• Regularly explore new ideas following careful discussions with supervisors.
• Use data analytics to help shape the content of your show.
• Challenge traditional ways of doing things.
• Digital writing, as assigned.

Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.
