Position Title : Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse

Facility : [Insert Facility Name]

Specialty : OR / Surgical RN

Shift : M-F, 6 : 45 AM – 3 : 15 PM | Call required (weekday & weekend coverage)

Position Summary :

Seeking an experienced OR RN with at least 2 years recent OR experience to provide safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The RN will perform circulator duties, assist with C-sections, recover general surgery patients, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

Implement plan of care including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.

Document patient care and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.

Assist patients with activities of daily living as needed.

Provide patient / family education appropriate to age, culture, and condition.

Collaborate across disciplines for patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.

Serve as patient advocate for physical and emotional well-being.

Requirements :

TN RN or multi-state RN license

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS (AHA)

Knowledge of General Surgery, Orthopedic, OB, GYN, Endoscopy

Minimum 2 years recent OR experience

Must be willing to float as needed

Additional Info :

No robotic procedures

Circulators may recover general surgery patients prior to floor / Same Day Surgery

Dress code : Professional scrubs
