Job Description :

We are seeking a talented Engineering Reference Data (ERD) Engineer to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will drive design efficiency across our aircraft development programs by creating and managing comprehensive libraries of standard components. This role will directly enable our engineering teams to accelerate design cycles, reduce bill of material complexity, and ensure consistency across mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Create and maintain CAD models for standard hardware used in mechanical and electrical design including fasteners, connectors, brackets, and electrical components.
• Design release engineer for vendor and commercially available off the shelf (COTS) parts. Maintain dataset and supporting documentation as required. Help coordinate changes between design engineering and suppliers.
• Drive use of common hardware families across multiple disciplines.
• Act as liaison between design engineers and materials and process team to drive use of standard materials.
• Check drawings / models during the release process to ensure design and drawing standards are being followed and standard hardware is being used properly.
• Interface with Manufacturing and Procurement to ensure that standardized parts are the best to support the manufacturing process and available for purchase at competitive cost.
• Manage design materials library for CAD modeling.
• Manage consumable materials portfolio.
• Create and maintain parametric hardware templates.
• Promote reuse of common parts to minimize bill of material creep.
• Evaluate for weight improvements in standardized parts.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role.

Proficiency with CATIA V5 and Siemens Teamcenter PLM
