Job Description
A well-established law firm in Asheville is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to focus on estate planning, estate administration, and related practice areas. This is a great opportunity for an attorney who wants to build a long-term career in a client-centered and supportive environment. While prior estate planning experience is strongly preferred, the firm is willing to provide training for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on estate planning and administration, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
- Draft, review, and finalize estate planning documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain strong attorney–client relationships through clear and timely communication.
- Collaborate with attorneys and professional staff to deliver high-quality, efficient service.
- Participate in networking and business development to strengthen the firm’s community presence.
Requirements
J.D. from an accredited law school and active North Carolina Bar license (or eligibility).Prior experience as a practicing attorney required.Background in estate planning or administration strongly preferred; training available for motivated candidates.Strong legal research, drafting, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple matters while maintaining professionalism and detail orientation.Benefits
