Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Long-Term Care – Nights

Position Title : Licensed Practical Nurse – Long-Term Care (LTC)

Location : Elgin, ND

Assignment Type : Contract

Start Date : November 2025

Shift : 12-Hour Nights | 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM

Schedule : Block schedule, Thursday–Tuesday nights | OT available Wednesdays | Every other weekend and holiday required

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Long-Term Care (LTC) team on the night shift in Elgin, ND. The LPN will provide compassionate care to residents, perform medication administration, and support overnight care needs. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive team environment and gain valuable experience in long-term care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the care of approximately 20 residents during the night shift.
  • Administer medications and perform routine med passes.
  • Conduct resident rounds and provide bedside care as needed.
  • Monitor residents’ conditions and respond to changes promptly.
  • Contact providers if urgent needs or changes in condition arise.
  • Assist the Charge Nurse , who also oversees the hospital and ER, with LTC-related responsibilities when required.
  • Document all care, observations, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner.

    • Qualifications

  • Active LPN License (North Dakota or Compact State).
  • Prior long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to work block schedules, weekends, and holidays.
