Are you ready to play a critical role in the operating room, helping to provide life-changing care for patients? At Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, we’re seeking a skilled Surgical Technician who’s passionate about making a difference in the operating room and ensuring our patients receive the best care possible.

As a Surgical Technician, you’ll be a key part of our surgical team, assisting with surgeries, preparing the operating room, and ensuring everything runs smoothly so that our patients get the best possible outcomes. If you’re detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and love working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do :

• Prepare the Operating Room : Ensure the operating room is sterile, set up with the necessary surgical tools, and ready for surgery.
• Assist During Surgeries : Work alongside surgeons and nurses to provide direct support during surgical procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Create a Meaningful Impact : Be at the forefront of patient care, directly contributing to the success of surgeries and the well-being of our patients.
• Handle Surgical Instruments & Equipment : Be responsible for the proper handling and maintenance of surgical instruments, ensuring everything is functioning and sterile before use.
• Monitor Patient Safety : Assist in positioning patients on the operating table and ensuring they are properly prepared for surgery, maintaining their safety throughout the procedure.
• Sterilize Equipment : Clean, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment for use, following strict infection control protocols.
• Document Procedures : Accurately record patient information, surgical instruments used, and other essential details for the medical record.
• Assist with Patient Recovery : After surgery, help in transferring patients to recovery rooms and ensure they are comfortable and monitored.
