Free parking About the Unit : Our unit consists of labor, delivery, postpartum, well newborns, and a level II special care nursery. In addition, we also care for GYN surgical patients. Nurses are expected to work fluidly with all patient populations Overview : Assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care of designated areas. Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department. Functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed. Assumes managerial duties delegated by a manager. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Qualifications : Required Education : Nursing Degree from an accredited schoolLicense : current RN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days Experience : Experience : Minimum 2 years RN experience in LDRP / NurseryNurse needs to be proficient in all areas of maternal nursing and newborn care for a PRN role.Certifications : Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or can be obtained within 90 daysNOTE : One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position / unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe EEO / AA / Minorities / Females / Disabled / Veterans
