Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM

Experience :

  • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
  • Must have at least 22 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.
  • Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

Requirements :

  • Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required for submission).
  • This role will require floating to multiple units
  • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living
  • Flu vaccination required after submission. Medical declinations accepted.

    Additional Details :

    Previous Employment Requirements :

  • Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
  • Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location

    • Required Skills / Experience :

    Skills :

  • Proficient in IV start
  • Experience with telemetry
  • Competency with ventilators

    • Required Credentials :

  • References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

    • Procedures / Diagnostics / Treatments Performed on Unit :

    Patient Diagnoses :

  • Cardiac Medical ICU
  • ACS
  • Acute MI
  • Cardiogenic Shock
  • Post interventional cardiac procedure patients
  • Decompensating heart failure
  • TAVR

    • Special Procedures :

  • Hypothermia protocol
  • Secondary diagnosis included to but not limited to GI bleed, chronic or acute renal failure, exacerbation of airway disease, diabetes mellitus, pneumonia, and r / o embolus.

    • Types of Patients on Unit : Adults

    Equipment Used on Unit :

  • IABP
  • Impella
  • Activated Clotting times
  • hemodynamic monitoring
  • CRRT
  • Vents
  • EKOS

    Shift & Scheduling : Every Friday, Saturday + 1 additional night shift (flexible on 3rd shift)

  • Weekend Coverage :

    • Every Other

  • Pre-Approved Time Off :

    • 1 Request

    Floating Requirements : Will be required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed

    7 days maximum time off

    1 reference from last 2 years (Manager / Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

    1 reference from last 2 years (Charge / Lead reference type) - required for submission
