About the Roles :
Shelter operations provide safe, sanitary, and supportive environments for displaced survivors. Shelters may be congregate (e.g., gymnasiums) or non-congregate (e.g., hotel / motel placements). Mass care staff support setup, intake, dormitory operations, feeding, and resource coordination.
We are seeking qualified, dependable, and service-minded individuals for multiple positions within our Emergency Sheltering and Mass Care Operations team. Whether your skills are in leadership, logistics, feeding operations, or direct client services, you can play a vital role in supporting evacuees during their time of greatest need. Experience with Emergency Disaster Shelters Required.
1. Shelter Manager : Direct all shelter functions, ensure smooth daily operations, manage staff / volunteers, track occupancy, and maintain communication with the Emergency Operations Center.

2. Registration / Intake Specialist : Welcome evacuees, complete intake documentation, verify identification, and identify special needs or vulnerabilities.

3. Dormitory / Logistics Support Staff : Set up cots, distribute blankets, maintain cleanliness of shelter areas, assist with food distribution, and restock supplies.

4. Functional Needs Support Services (FNSS) Aide : Provide assistance to evacuees with access and functional needs, ensuring ADA compliance and dignity in care.

5. Feeding Operations Lead : Oversee meal service, manage dietary accommodations, and coordinate with contracted kitchens or volunteer teams.
