Senior Electrical Maintenance Specialist
Locations : Ideally : A person in Gary, IN, and one in either Dearborn, MI or St Paul, MN
A multi-site chemical / manufacturing / distribution company needs two regional electrical field engineers / specialists to work with multiple operating plants in a region on electrical, power system, electrical reliability and troubleshooting.
Position Info
- Lead / supervise maintenance / reliability work for power / distribution at industrial facilities.
- Work with medium to high-voltage systems at 3-5 plants in a region (30% or more travel depending on location – email to ask me)
- Work independently at site, including knowing when to request
- Work with all aspects of developing, implementing maintenance and reliability programs :
- Power distribution, substations, transformers, etc, from 138Kv on down
- The "usual" breakers, switchgear, relay systems, battery / UPS
- Work with massive 15kv motors up to 20,000hp+, compressors, pumps, etc.
- Reliability programs – oil analysis, IR thermography, discharge and power analysis, etc
- Root cause analysis and corrective action plans
- Assist with shutdown (aka turnaround) planning and electrical work

At / over $112,000 / yr - $120,000 salary plus overtime
