Appeals Representative

Location Southwest Fort Worth, TX (Clearfork) | Remote-US (upon hire)

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

  • $16–$17 / hr (Depending on Experience)
  • Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
  • W2 – Temp-to-Hire
  • Start Date : ASAP

ROLE IMPACT

The Appeals Representative plays a critical role in processing medical appeals efficiently and accurately within a 24-hour window. This position ensures that all appeals are correctly documented, filed, and communicated with submitters, supporting smooth claim resolution and regulatory compliance. Success is measured by speed, accuracy, and attention to HIPAA standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review appeal submissions for eligibility and completeness
  • Accurately enter and organize appeals data in internal systems
  • Attach documentation to correct case and folder locations
  • Identify and communicate any special handling needs
  • Maintain required production standards and quality metrics
  • Provide general support across the appeals team
  • Follow HIPAA-compliant procedures at all times

    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ year medical industry experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 40+ WPM typing speed with paperless entry proficiency
  • Advanced accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Skilled at multitasking across 3-monitor setups

  • Appeals Management Systems
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Multi-monitor desktop environments

    • PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Prior experience with medical appeals processing
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Independent problem-solving in high-volume settings
