Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Commercial HVAC Installer with a minimum of five years of experience in the field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and upgrading commercial HVAC systems, ensuring quality installations that meet safety and code regulations. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Take a lead role on projects, giving direction and support to the assigned team, working alongside our project managers.
- Install, replace, and upgrade commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, boilers, and refrigeration systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Perform layout, assembly, and installation of ductwork, piping, and controls for commercial HVAC systems.
- Ensure all installations comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Work with cranes, lifts, and other equipment to install large-scale HVAC systems.
- Perform brazing, soldering, and pipe fitting as needed.
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades on-site.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional relationships with clients.
- Complete required documentation, such as job reports and material orders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements :
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation.Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including RTUs, VRF, boilers, chillers, and refrigeration.Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.Experience with ductwork installation, brazing, and pipe fitting.Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.EPA Universal Certification preferred.OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various conditions, including heights and tight spaces.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Compensation & Benefits :
