As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned shelter locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming environment for residents and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication and support. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $18.02 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Thur 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Fri 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and residents by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the shelter environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards within the shelter location to Allied Universal management and / or site leadership.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification as required, and assisting with visitor management.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with shelter staff and residents to address concerns and provide assistance as needed while upholding site-specific policies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
