About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 1 year of general nursing experience.

License : Registered Nurse (RN)

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, ONC Chemotherapy Certification preferred.

Must-Have : EPIC experience, IMC / PCU level experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, proficiency in chest ports.

Description : Inpatient beds : 16.

This role requires a PCU / IMC RN for a mixed acuity unit.

The unit will handle patient types including surgical oncology, new diagnoses, and oncology complications.

Medical overflow is included.

Intermediate level of care with telemetry monitoring is required.

Patients will be receiving prolonged chemotherapy infusions.

Patient ratios for RNs are 1 : 4 during days and nights.

Travelers must live more than 100 miles away from the facility.

A first-time traveler must have more than one year of nursing experience and EPIC experience.

Comfort working with MedSurg assignments is necessary.

Support on the unit includes a charge nurse available 24 / 7, who rarely has a patient assignment.

Phlebotomy services will only involve peripheral blood draws.

The resource nurse is available 24 / 7 for assistance.

Charting systems include required Epic software.

Weekend rotation is expected, working every other weekend.

Availability to work during holidays is required unless prior arrangements are made.

Approval of time off is allowed up to 1.5 weeks but must extend the contract to accommodate the full duration.

No requests for time off will be considered during a specific annual event.

Compliance audits for pre / post pain scoring must meet 90% compliance monthly.
