Key responsibilities and accountabilities :
Delivers goods to job sites and customers' shops in a safe and timely manner
Ensures that ABCO has all proper documentation related to the delivery of goods, including customer delivery tickets, bills of lading, hazardous materials paperwork, time logs, route sheets and all other DOT and company required documentsEnsures signature capture at each deliveryIf route requires, driver must enter closed facility, and off load merchandise.Loads and unloads packages from truck utilizing proper techniques for safety and efficiencyMaintains professional and courteous demeanor when working with customers and colleaguesMaintains a satisfactory driving record and obeys all traffic lawsWorks in various warehouse roles as instructed by manager during down periodsVehicle MaintenancePerforms daily inspection of vehicle, before and after operation, to ensure vehicle is in working order and safe for travel
Identifies and reports to management all vehicle maintenance issues, noting tires, oil and filter changes, and all other regular maintenancePosition Knowledge and TrainingMaintains strong knowledge of delivery area
Attends all required meetings, training programs, and quarterly driving safety meetingsMaintains working knowledge of current state and federal transport regulationsRequired Certifications and AbilitiesValid driver license Class A or B (current)
