The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform has thousands of students looking for online Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering tutors. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you'll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students' learning journeys — all from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities

Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students.
Accept on-demand tutoring requests when available (Instant Tutoring).
Set your own hours and tutor as much as you'd like.
Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.
Get matched with students best suited to your teaching style and expertise.
Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time and focus on teaching.
Handle tutoring invoices (the platform processes payments and you invoice for your sessions).

Qualifications

Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.

Expertise in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with the ability to explain concepts clearly.

Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.

Prior tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education are preferred.

Compensation and Schedule

Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and may increase for specialized subjects; pay can reach up to $40 / hour with the same student.

Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions conducted and invoiced.

Set your own hours and tutor as much as you'd like.

Remote tutoring with no commuting required.
