American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU Float RN with active WA or compact license, ICU experience, and required certifications including ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in an acute care hospital setting as part of the ICU Nursing Float poolFloat to ICU, ED boarders (inpatients only), all MedSurg units, and Observation unitPatient ratios are 1 : 1–1 : 2 for ICU, 1 : 3–1 : 4 for PCU or ED, and 1 : 5–1 : 6 for lower acuity MedSurgCares for a wide range of diagnoses, depending on unit assignmentHandles titratable drips including sedation, vasoactive medications, and paralytics in ED, Critical Care, and PCUUses Epic EMR; experience preferredDay shifts, 12 hours, with every other weekend required and potential for every weekendNo call or standby requiredProfessional scrubs of any color requiredResponsibilities include providing care to patients in multiple units based on daily staffing needsCharge nurse or house supervisor present on each unitNurse aids are present on most units, depending on staffingRT equipment such as vents, CPAP, and BiPAP available on unitsMust be able to advocate for own skill set if assigned unfamiliar tasksOne day of onboarding with manager and two shifts of orientation with float pool member providedHoliday coverage is required as part of the assignmentDress code includes scrubs of any color or business casual for trainingMay not have been employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year\n \n Requirements\n
