This JCAHO accredited health center serves a 4,400 square mile area and functions as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The 73-bed facility was constructed in 1975 and provides comprehensive inpatient / outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB / GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery and urological procedures. Approximately 49% of surgeries performed are outpatient / ambulatory procedures, with a diverse medical staff including surgeons, specialists, and comprehensive nursing teams serving the Native American communities.
