About The Position

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in Illinois. This opportunity begins on Sep 20, 2025, and involves day and night shifts at a critical access hospital. The physician will manage a variety of emergency cases in a facility equipped with an emergency department.

  • Schedule for Nov & Dec is being finalized. Providers can choose between 24-hour shifts or 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergency patients
  • Perform all lifesaving procedures including :
  • Intubation
  • Ventilation management
  • Central line placement
  • Arterial line placement
  • Ensure comprehensive specialty coverage in coordination with hospital and clinic services including Oncology, Orthopedics, Urology, Pain Management & Anesthesia, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Pediatrics, and Internal Medicine / Hospitalist roles.

  • Must be licensed to practice in Illinois
  • EMR System : Athenahealth
  • The role demands strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic emergency setting.
