Pay Rate : $22-$28 / hr.
Shift : 7am-4pm with some occasional OT as needed
Job Title : Shipping Coordinator / CDL-A Driver
Summary :
This position is primarily responsible for coordinating shipping and receiving operations to ensure all incoming and outgoing materials are properly documented, packaged, and delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner. In addition, this role requires operating company trucks to transport goods as needed, so a valid CDL-A license is required.
Duties and Responsibilities :
This job includes, but is not limited to, the following :
- Receive and verify incoming goods, preparing receiving reports as required.
- Load and unload trucks; assure containers and pallets are properly tagged, barcoded, and scanned.
- Pick and prepare materials for shipping according to customer orders, including preparing necessary documentation.
- Package finished goods for storage or shipment, ensuring materials pass final inspection before shipping.
- Transport materials to correct areas throughout the plant using forklift, overhead crane, or other equipment.
- Operate company-owned trucks to support shipping and receiving operations, including delivery, pickup, and relocation of products and materials.
- Perform required pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, user maintenance, and submit necessary reports.
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
- Maintain compliance with all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations.
- Perform daily forklift checks and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with miscellaneous plant and warehouse work as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Capable and willing to work overtime and flexible hours when required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A).1 or more years of CDL driving experience preferred..Ability to attain and maintain a forklift license.Ability to read, write, and understand English in both written and verbal form.Moderate physical effort required, including lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent walking, bending, and twisting.Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.Ability to work independently and demonstrate reliable attendance.Must follow all safety policies, procedures, and traffic laws.Willingness to continuously improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.
