Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. Packages purchases and assists customers with delivery to their mode of transportation.

Reporting relations include accountability to the District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home, Service Managers. There are no positions that report to this role.

Primary duties and responsibilities include providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, greeting customers, assisting customers by escorting them to products, securing products, loading or unloading heavy items, answering the telephone, working with co-workers as a team, packaging purchases, cleaning various areas, assisting customers in transporting purchases, helping train new courtesy clerks, checking prices on products, pulling product forward on shelf, bringing carts in from parking lot, cleaning can redemption area, stocking, facing, rotating merchandise, maintaining supplies, adhering to personal hygiene and dress guidelines, adhering to company policies, and reporting to work on time.

Secondary duties and responsibilities include assisting in all departments as requested, delivering product to customers, shoveling, salting, and sanding walkways, assisting in other areas of the store, and performing other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Knowledge, skills, abilities, and worker characteristics include the ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions, deal with a few concrete variables, do simple addition and subtraction, understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, and have increased contact with people.

Education and experience requirements are not specified.

Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision. Must be able to perform the following physical activities : climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Working conditions include exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dampness, dirt, and chemicals / solvents.

Equipment used to perform the job includes Tomra (bottle machines), window washing equipment, vacuum cleaner, power washer, brooms, delivery vehicle, phone, fax, copier, two wheeler, pallet jack, and box cutter.

Contacts include daily contact with the general public and occasional contact with suppliers / vendors.
