NDI MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Location : Salt Lake City, UT

Reports to : Engineering Manager

Compensation : $110 - $135K + bonus

Your Role :

Our NDI Manufacturing Engineers design, implement, and maintain well-defined, documented, and controlled NDI processes using automated equipment for aerospace structures. You will work closely with NDI inspectors, engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure optimal quality, efficiency, and compliance while driving continuous improvement in inspection processes.

What You'll Do :

  • Develop, document, and improve NDI processes to meet internal, customer, and regulatory standards.
  • Create automated scan surfaces and plans, including fixtures and technical data sheets.
  • Ensure calibration, hardware readiness, and efficient work cell setups.
  • Support audits, production readiness, and compliance with NAS410, AS9100, and NADCAP.
  • Monitor processes using SPC and MSA, maintain PFMEAs, and lead corrective actions.
  • Drive process improvement and new technology implementation for NDI processes.
  • Manage production readiness and ensure on-time manufacturing starts.

What You'll Bring :

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience in manufacturing or quality engineering with NDI experience.
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT) for composite structures experience.
  • Strong background in automated scan plans, process development, lean, and SPC.
  • Effective communicator with solid documentation, technical, and teamwork skills.
  • Preferred software experience : MS Office, Catia, Windchill, SAP, Power BI.
  • ASNT NDT Level II in UT, or Level III strongly preferred (NAS-410) preferred.
  • Must meet US Person status due to ITAR / EAR requirements.
