Extensive knowledge of marine classification society rules and international maritime regulations (e.g., ABS, CFR, DNV, LR). Experience in managing or leading multidisciplinary teams on complex projects. Experience with FRP design and construction Experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA). Knowledge of marine propulsion systems, energy efficiency, and alternative fuels. Prior experience with both commercial vessels, pleasure craft and yachts are a plus. Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Naval Architect with at least 5 years of industry experience to join our team at Vensure Employer Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ship design, structural analysis, stability assessment, and marine engineering. As a Naval Architect, you will lead design projects, manage technical teams, and ensure the creation of safe, efficient, and innovative marine vessels and structures.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and development of marine vessels, offshore platforms, and other marine structures.
- Oversee and conduct structural, hydrodynamic, and stability analyses of vessels to ensure safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and refine ship designs, including hull forms, structural components, and propulsion systems.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support in project execution.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications, reports, and presentations for clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
- Perform strength, fatigue, and load analysis to validate design concepts and ensure compliance with industry standards and classification society rules.
- Collaborate with project managers, shipyards, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Review and assess project documentation, including design drawings, technical reports, and construction plans, for accuracy and feasibility.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in naval architecture, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Contribute to project proposals, tender documents, and bid evaluations, providing technical input and cost estimates.
- Ensure the integration of sustainability and energy-efficient solutions in design proposals.
- Coordinate and support the construction process, providing technical oversight during vessel construction and sea trials.
