Position Description : Emergency Medicine Medical Director

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Medical Director to provide clinical and operational leadership for a high-acuity emergency department in San Antonio, TX . This role offers the opportunity to oversee daily ED operations, supervise staff, and collaborate with hospital leadership while shaping the department s growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the emergency department.

Provide clinical oversight and professional guidance to physicians, NPs, and PAs.

Ensure adherence to hospital policies, bylaws, and quality standards.

Serve as a liaison between the ED and hospital administration.

Represent the department in community and institutional initiatives.

Support operational improvements, patient flow, and departmental efficiency.

28 Beds, including QuickCare & "Results Pending" suite

Admission Rate : 26%

Level IV Trauma Center

APP Support : Independent NP / PA practice with physician collaboration
