Overview

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Tech 1 (5AM-1 : 30PM). Responsible for collaborating and working in a team environment of 6-10 manufacturing production technicians. Focus on efficiency, training, and project work to accomplish manufacturing objectives. Supports the North American Nuclear Medicine Business consisting of 30+ nuclear pharmacies and numerous direct hospital customers. PDx products are used to enhance medical imaging exams and support patients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of all preparations and manufacturing procedures for the formulation of final product.
  • Process, assemble, dispense, assay, and package radio-chemicals, radiopharmaceuticals, or radioactive devices in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist in training and development of other technicians.
  • Accurately review and complete all batch records and related documentation.
  • Preparation and set-up of associated equipment and materials.
  • Comply with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Health Physics, Quality System Requirements (QSRs), and PPE requirements.
  • Strict adherence to cGMP.
  • Perform housekeeping in accordance with 5S.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) as required.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment problems by communicating with the Lead Technician.
  • Assist in writing Deviations, Investigations, and initiate Unscheduled Work Orders (UWOs).
  • Utilize Quality Management System to document maintenance, investigations, and change control actions; manage controlled documents in the Electronic Document Management System.
  • Line operate on feet for parts of the shift to perform required operations; ability to pass gown qualifications for work in controlled manufacturing areas.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree plus a minimum of 1 year of related experience (pharmaceutical manufacturing, equipment operator, material handling, warehousing, logistics / distribution, etc.) OR
  • High School diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years of related experience OR
  • Bachelor's Degree with no manufacturing experience required.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude (including Algebra) and computer skills with ability to learn new applications.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must perform shift / weekend work (shift differential applicable).
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs or more.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; no immigration sponsorship for this position.
  • Preferred Characteristics

  • Experience with manufacturing equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to detail; strong technical writing ability.
  • Experience working with radioactive materials / isotopes is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP, Trackwise, Veeva, and ComplianceWire is a plus.
