Media Strategy Program Manager

Under the direction of the Director, Media and Digital Marketing, the Media Strategy Program Manager will combine creative thinking with factual analysis to develop appropriate communication strategies to ensure company campaigns reach their target audiences as effectively as possible. This role serves as the primary liaison between internal clients and buying teams. The individual must be able to clearly articulate media strategies and effectively communicate the core components of proposed media plans for multiple properties. Acting as an intermediary, they ensure seamless execution of approved media plans by managing efforts between stakeholders.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and supervision of comprehensive media strategies and project-oriented media plans from inception to completion. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of plans. Individually meet with internal clients and stakeholders on strategic issues as well as presents media plans to executive level decision makers, serving as a senior level advisor.
  • Directs, supervises, coordinates, and executes media plans, to determine the most effective and efficient advertising vehicle across all mediums, traditional, digital and paid social, while overseeing implementation of the schedule. Increases the value of every piece of content and understands how to tailor messaging for different channels, and can drive measurable impact through thoughtful content planning and execution. Maintains oversight of media budget including monthly reconciliations, forecasts and ROI analysis.
  • Researches and develops new media strategies, customer profiles, concepts and cross-promotional opportunities, implements creative planning, and prepares and conducts related written and verbal executive level presentations. Analyzes and monitors results of media campaigns and schedules, prepares follow-up presentations, and recommends optimization strategies in real time.
  • Drives innovation in media strategy by identifying new opportunities, technologies, and cross-channel integrations. Shares knowledge of current industry and market trends while compiling statistics on various media and related market research. Works with the Director to identify improvement and foster professional development for team members through training, mentoring, and educational opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Education, Experience And Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related. required.
  • Minimum six (6) years' experience in developing comprehensive media plans to include all communication channels required.
  • Related, relevant, and / or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
  • Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (Ksa)

  • Ability to formulate pre-and-post campaign analysis is a plus. Must exhibit comprehensive working knowledge of Media Planning software and consumer research platforms.
  • Must have current working knowledge of all media channels including Digital, Paid Social, Television (TV / CTV and streaming), Radio, Streaming Audio and Podcasting, Print and Out of Home (OOH.)
  • Should have an advanced understanding of emerging mediums such as Streaming video and audio and how each channel plays a role in the overall communication approach.
  • Must have the ability to take initiative, be very detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to interact well with internal teams and work as a team member.
  • Experience with multi-clients / multi-tasking. Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Licenses, Certifications And Registrations

  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • Driving Responsibilities : Role requires regular commuting between locations. A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance with minimum liability limits is required. Role will not operate or drive Tribe-owned vehicles or patron vehicles.
  • Physical Requirements / Working Conditions Environment

  • Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting.
  • Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and / or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Sedentary work : involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
  • Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
  • Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position : The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
  • Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
  • Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
  • The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
