  • Patient Demographics : Adults, Pediatrics
  • Annual Volume : Approximately 22,000 patients
  • Patient Volume : 55-65 patients per day
  • Case Mix : General Emergency Medicine

    • FACILITY INFORMATION

  • EMR System : Epic
  • Support Staff Available : Physicians and APPs (Advanced Practice Providers, 24-hour physician coverage, 18-hour APP coverage)
  • Specialty Backup Available : Limited
  • Scribe Coverage : Not Provided
  • Reason for Coverage : Staffing needs for consistent coverage

    • PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes
  • Temporary Privileges Available : Yes (Expedited if provider has a clean file)
  • Credentialing Timeline : Approximately 30-60 days
  • Orientation Requirements : 4-5 hour facility orientation; EPIC training available on Tuesdays (8 : 30 AM 1 : 30 PM)

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active Iowa State License and DEA
  • Certifications : ACLS, ATLS, PALS
  • Experience :
  • Minimum of 2 years Emergency Medicine experience
  • Must provide case log for verification
  • Other Qualifications :
  • Board Certification in ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, or their osteopathic counterparts
  • Must hold an MD or DO degree
  • Experience with EPIC EMR is a plus

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage 12-hour shifts, independently handling high patient volume
  • Participate in required orientation and EMR training
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and compliance standards
