GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Staff Accountant will support the finance department in accomplishing required tasks and responsibilities by maintaining financial records and ensuring financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Analyze current costs, revenues, and predict future revenues and expenses. Core focus areas will be Accounts Payable with additional focus on Inventory and Production Costing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation, general ledger coding and system entry of approved invoicesInvoice match with receipts and PO's, verifying quantity and priceMonthly AP Accruals, G / L Account reconciliation and review of vendor account statementsProcessing of monthly brokerage statements, payments, and reconciliationNew customer credit reference checksProduction cost tracking, payroll processing and inventory management cross trainingSupport administration staff by answering phones; scanning and filing all documents relating to job responsibilities.Prepare special financial reports, when requested by senior managers, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trendsAssists with pulling, gathering, and presenting requested information during audits.Perform other duties as assignedWORK EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Possess strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and ability to function at a high level within a team environmentExcellent computer skills including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookGood analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skillsMust be detail oriented possessing the ability to perform multiple tasksAbility to work flexible hours if neededEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
