Public Relations Associate Job at Solomon Page in Tampa

Our client, a leading full-service marketing and communications agency, is seeking a Public Relations Associate to support a high-profile account in the entertainment industry. This is an exciting freelance opportunity for a motivated PR professional who excels in storytelling, media relations, and event support. While this role is primarily remote, candidates must be local to Tampa / Clearwater and available for in-person events.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in the development and execution of PR strategies to elevate brand visibility.
• Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, and pitches.
• Build and maintain updated media lists; foster strong relationships with journalists and outlets.
• Monitor media coverage, track mentions, and generate performance reports.
• Support and attend press events, media briefings, and community activations.
• Collaborate with account, content, and social teams to ensure consistent messaging.
• Manage PR calendars, timelines, and deliverables.
• Research industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging PR opportunities.
• Provide support in crisis communications if needed.
