Job HVAC Specialist / Technician (Fort Belvoir)

Position Overview

QinetiQ US is looking to hire an experienced HVAC Specialist / technician to support Fort Belvoir customer site.

Responsibilities

Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.

Identifying and diagnosing maintenance risks, electrical and mechanical faults, and other issues with HVAC systems.

Performing emergency repairs, warranty services, and system adjustments and cleaning.

Providing technical direction and on-the-job training to other technicians or clients.

Ensuring compliance with HVAC codes and maintaining a safe work environment.

Providing excellent customer service and keeping detailed records of work performed.

Staying current with advances in HVAC technology and best practices.

Managing inventory of company-provided tools and equipment.

Required Qualifications

Active Secret with eligibility to obtain a TS / SCI clearance.

High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.

1+ year (or 2+ years for commercial HVAC) experience as an HVAC technician.

Valid drivers license and good driving record.

Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.

Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in confined spaces.
