About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : One year of recent nursing experience preferred
License : Current RN License in state of employment or compact
Certifications : Current BLS, Current ACLS
Must-Have :
- One year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
Description :
The competent Nurse practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation.
Provides routine and complex care with the ability to focus on long-range goals or plans.
Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing.
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to help manage the clinical situation.
Meets expectations of applicable competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
Consistent with the Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.
Administers medications and treatments according to appropriate protocol, monitors for side effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and / or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
Position Requirements :
New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member.
Initial onboarding requirements are validated through successful completion of designated organizational entry competency validation and a specialty-specific competency validation.
Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is necessary.
