Accounting Lead
The primary function of the Accounting Lead is to analyze and process complex accounting transactions, as well as maintain exception reporting and daily metrics. They will assist with managing day-to-day activities in the accounting department. They will act as a Subject Matter Expert for the rest of the team for questions, queries, and resolutions.
Core Duties
Supports Supervisor to identify and resolve root causes on any gaps in accounting processes
- Monitor and prioritize the daily data entry inflow
- Periodically review, track, and report the task performance
- Learn multi-tiered GL structure to accurately code expenses to proper department and GL account(s)
- Obtain W9s for new vendors and ensure approvals before processing payment
- Involvement with the month, quarter, and year-end closings
- Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of account
- Perform other duties as required and / or assigned
Basic Qualifications
